I was in a class once, and the question was asked:
"What do you struggle with the most?"
Many of us answered—time management. Amongst other things.
Then, someone in the room—not the speaker—said something that struck a nerve:
"You only struggle with time management because you don’t care enough."
That statement sparked a wave of rebuttals.
"Who are you to say I don’t care? I have this, this, that, that, and that to do… there’s just not enough time!"
"You don’t know my life!"
The conversation went on, but the point remained:
If you’re always late, always behind, always scrambling—it's not just about time. It’s about priorities.
You don’t care enough about:
-
The people
-
The invite
-
The event
-
The task
-
The job
Simply put, you don’t care.
So if you don’t care about time, what do you care about?
Comfort? Control? The illusion of being too busy?
Because at the end of the day, people make time for what they truly care about.
